The v0.8.6 release notes cover 34 changes and four companion pages. Each numbered chapter explains one behavior change, its limits, and the integrations that must respond. This overview, the detailed Express operator runbook, and two focused compatibility notes are unnumbered companions.
How to use these notes
- Use the release index to search all numbered chapters and follow their release order.
- Choose a reader path below when you need the smallest useful subset for a review or integration.
- Read linked pages together when one defines a safety or observability constraint used by another.
- For Express Withdrawal implementation, read the system design before the operator runbook.
Reader paths
Protocol reviewers
Start with Strict Deallocation, PartyA Liquidation Snapshot Flow, Cross-PartyB Liquidation Reserve Enforcement, and Per-Quote Close Settlement Netting. Then review Force-Close Request Binding, Bound-Mode Unified Settlement, and the AccountLayer callback fix for lifecycle boundaries.
Integrators and indexers
Read Allocated Balance Event Ledger before consuming the new settlement and liquidation events. Continue with Explicit Clearing House Settlements, Liquidation Funding Observability, Solver Fees, Operational Fees, and Symbol Corporate-Action Adjustment. ABI consumers should also check Diamond Owner Getter and each page's integration notes.
Operators and solvers
Follow the Express design and runbook pair, then review Affiliate Shutdown Flow, Gasless Layer deployment and wiring, Muon UPNL Validity Overrides, PartyB Funding Update Nonces, and the symbol-adjustment runbook.
Gasless integrators
Start with Gasless Layer for the signed relay, deterministic-wallet, native top-up, cross-chain deposit, fee, and deployment model. Continue with Operational Fees, Batch Delegation Grant Operations, and AccountLayer Delegated Creation & Ownership Transfer for the three protocol interfaces the layer relies on.
AccountLayer builders
Read AccountLayer Timelocks for selector policies, per-call approvals, scheduling, and policy changes, then delegated creation and ownership transfer, delegation scope, observable behavior changes, partial-fill remainder handling, and the callback-liveness fix. The Express Deposit Removal chapter identifies the removed v0.8.5 entry points.
Complete change map
Express Withdrawal
Express Withdrawal System Design defines the provider, funding, risk, and settlement model. Express Deposit Removal removes the unrelated v0.8.5 AccountLayer deposit split. The operator runbook is the companion implementation reference.
Gasless operations
Gasless Layer adds role-gated relaying for signed InstantLayer and deterministic-wallet operations, sponsored or collateral-paid native gas top-ups, and settlement of bridged collateral into wallet-owned accounts. It uses Core operational-fee allowances and AccountLayer ownership without moving signature authority to the relayer.
Accounts and authorization
This group covers AccountLayer ownership, delegated account scope, InstantLayer authorization scope, AccountLayer behavior changes, POSITION partial fills, callback liveness, the owner getter rename, and InstantOpen execution changes.
Liquidation and margin safety
The release adds snapshot-backed PartyA liquidation, its single-step wrapper, stricter deallocation floors, one PartyA liquidation-fee recipient, PartyB suspension gates, cross-PartyB reserve enforcement, force-close request binding, a notional LF floor, and an Affiliate shutdown backstop.
Fees and settlement
This group covers solver rate fees, operational fees, market-open fee pricing, typed Clearing House settlement, bound-mode unified settlement, and per-quote close netting.
Funding, observability, and symbols
The remaining chapters document per-function UPNL validity windows, the allocated-balance event ledger, corporate-action adjustment, liquidation funding events, PartyB funding-update nonces, and lazy accumulated funding.
